Goat Cheese with Green Peppercorns

We often travel to the Chattanooga Market

on Sunday afternoons to survey the

mountain crafts, hear local bands perform,

sample a variety of homegrown fast foods,

and buy wonderfully fresh produce, meats,

and cheeses. Our mandatory purchase is

always a creamy goat cheese that never

fails to meet our expectations. This is a

favorite way to prepare it.

8 ounces of goat cheese

3 ounces of cream cheese

1 tablespoon of marinated green peppercorns

1 tablespoon of fresh garlic paste

3 tablespoons of fresh basil or oregano, minced

Blend all ingredients and place in a covered

bowl. Chill before offering with pita chips or

toasted French bread.
