Apple and Sausage Biscuits

This is a wonderful cold weather appetizer that would be

welcome at a super bowl party…goes well with iced beer!

1 eight ounce package of cream cheese

2 tablespoons of half and half

1 large egg

½ cup of shredded swiss cheese

1 teaspoon of chopped chives

1 half apple, minced

1 cup of bulk sausage, browned and drained

Caraway seeds

1 package of layered refrigerated biscuits

Combine cream cheese, half and half, egg, and Swiss

cheese.  Stir together the apple bits, sausage, and

caraway seeds.  Separate biscuits into thirds and press

into a small muffin pan. Spoon in a teaspoon of the

apple-sausage mixture. Top off with the cheese mixture

and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until

golden brown.
