Reuben Spread in a Bread Bowl

This is a great dish for a football gathering, in

front of the stadium or the flatscreen! When the

bowl is empty, just slice it up, pass it around,

and you’ll have no dish to wash!

1 can of sauerkraut, rinsed and well-drained

1 pound of swiss cheese, chopped

2 pounds of corned beef, chopped

½ medium onion, chopped

1 cup of mayonnaise

1 cup of sour cream

½ cup of tomato sauce

2 teaspoons of prepared horseradish

2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon of caraway seeds

1 twelve inch round loaf of European bread

Extra hard rolls, torn into pieces

Lightly process the first four ingredients in a food

processor, leaving it chunky. In a mixing bowl, stir

together the next seven ingredients and combine with

the processed meat and cheese. Hollow out the bread

loaf, being careful not to cut through the bottom, and

fill with the Reuben mixture.

Tear the bread that has been removed into bite-sized

pieces for dipping and place in a basket with the torn

hard rolls.
