Jack Daniels’ Dogs

This is a tailgating favorite from way back. Little

smoky wieners are always popular and can be

prepared at home and served warm from a cast iron

pot on the grill. What makes these special is a

simple sauce brought to life with Tennessee

whiskey!

Two pounds of little smoky wieners

1 ½ cups of ketchup

1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon of fresh garlic, minced

½ cup of dark brown sugar

½ cup of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey

Simmer wieners uncovered for twenty five minutes with the next

four ingredients. Add whiskey and simmer for an additional half

hour, covered.  May be refrigerated and reheated which

improves the flavor.
