Budget Boursin

This is a very respectable substitute for the French

herbed cheese, Boursin, that is so popular as a base

for vegetable dips and spreads. If you have access

to the fresh herbs, so much the better.

12 ounces of cream cheese, softened

8 ounces of unsalted butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme

½ teaspoon of dried oregano

½ teaspoon of dried dill

½ teaspoon of dried basil

1 teaspoon of garlic salt

1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

Blend cream cheese and butter, add herbs and seasonings,

and pack into a crock.
