Your Own Coffee Liqueur

You’ll enjoy making and serving this delicious
coffee cordial which comes very close to the taste of
Kahlua or Tia Maria. I like it topped with a shaved
orange peel floating on a thin layer of cream.
2 cups of sugar
2 ½ cups of water
¼ cup of instant espresso coffee
1 fifth of good brandy
1 tablespoon of genuine vanilla extract
Bring sugar and water to a boil for five to six minutes. Remove from
heat and stir in instant coffee until it is thoroughly dissolved. Let
cool to room temperature and add brandy and vanilla extract.
Bottle, cork tightly, and let rest in a cool, dark place for ten days.
