Curried Walnuts

How about a different taste for the ubiquitous bowl of nuts

at your next gathering? We love these toasted walnuts and

like to incorporate them into a salad when we have

leftovers.

1 pound of shelled walnuts

½ cup of olive or walnut oil

2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons of madras curry powder

1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees. Heat oil in saute pan and stir in

spices. Add walnuts and toss until they are well-coated. Turn

out on a cookie sheet and bake in oven for about ten minutes

until crisp, checking frequently to prevent burning. These may

be frozen and reheated prior to serving.
