Classy Collards

 You will be amazed and delighted with this dip
which is perfect for Fall football gatherings and
tailgating.  Put it in a crock pot, wrap in newspaper
and a towel and it will hold the heat for hours if
you are serving it at an outdoor affair!

    1 cup of sausage, browned and crumbled
    1 half Vidalia onion, chopped
    2  garlic cloves, chopped
    1/4  cup  dry white wine
    1  16 ounce package of frozen collard greens, minced
    12  ounces  cream cheese, cut into pieces
    1  8 ounce container sour cream
    1  tablespoon red pepper sauce
    1/4  teaspoon  salt
    3/4  cup  freshly grated Parmesan

Saute onion and garlic in sausage drippings until transparent. 
Add wine, and cook for a few minutes.  Stir in collard greens, 
and the rest of the ingredients except the Parmesan cheese. 
Cook, stirring often, 6 to 8 minutes or until cream cheese is
melted and mixture is thoroughly heated. Transfer to a stoneware
baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese. Broil until 
cheese is lightly browned. Cover with sausage crumbles.
